Getting started
The trial, what your Mac needs, and what to install first.
- Download the app. Grab the disk image from the download page, open it, and drag Duvrin to Applications.
- Open it the first time. macOS asks once before opening Duvrin: in System Settings, select Privacy & Security, scroll to Security, and click Open Anyway. The approval is one-time.
- Bring your browser. Follow the in-app extension setup to connect your browsing and downloads.
- Make your first save. Choose a link or supported media. Confirm the file, then follow its progress.
Why the extra confirmation? Duvrin is an independently signed build without an Apple Developer ID certificate or notarization ticket, so Gatekeeper asks before the first launch. After Open Anyway, Duvrin opens like any other app.
No. A genuinely fresh eligible installation starts a 30-day trial locally, without an email address, payment card, or synchronous licensing-service check. The trial includes the full app and keeps its original deadline: reinstalling does not create a second trial, and the Annual grace period does not extend it.
Duvrin targets macOS Tahoe 26 or later on Apple Silicon. Open the Apple menu and choose About This Mac to check your version and chip. If your Mac is Intel, or runs an older macOS release, this build is not for it, and there is no Intel version to fall back on.
No. The packaged app carries the pieces it needs to fetch and save media, and there is nothing for you to install alongside it. If you are ever shown instructions to install a command-line tool for Duvrin to work, that is a packaging problem worth reporting rather than something to follow.
