Getting started

Install Duvrin on your Mac

Move the app into Applications, clear the one-time macOS confirmation, and check the basics before you begin.

Before you begin

  • Duvrin targets macOS Tahoe 26 on Apple Silicon. Check the download page for the stated requirements, and do not assume an Intel build.
  • Leave enough free space for the app and the files you plan to download. Some media downloads need extra working space before the final file is ready.
  • Internet access is needed to download the app and to retrieve online files. An eligible fresh trial does not need an email, a card, or a licensing check to begin.

To check your Mac, open the Apple menu and choose About This Mac, then compare the macOS version and chip with the release requirements.

Install the downloaded app

  1. Open the downloaded file. For a disk image, open it; for a ZIP, extract it first.
  2. Move Duvrin.app into your Applications folder.
  3. Open Duvrin from Applications. Do not keep using the copy inside the disk image or the folder you extracted.
  4. Follow the first-launch notice, and keep the app running while you set up the browser companion.
  5. Once Duvrin is installed, eject the disk image if you used one.

The browser setup guide starts after Duvrin is installed in Applications.

If macOS asks for permission to open Duvrin

The current Duvrin distribution is ad-hoc signed and is not notarized by Apple, so macOS may show an unfamiliar-developer or verification warning on first launch. This is expected and it happens once.

If you have confirmed the file came from the official Duvrin download and choose to proceed, attempt to open the app, then open System Settings → Privacy & Security. If macOS offers Open Anyway for Duvrin, review the prompt and follow the on-screen confirmation. The exact wording varies by macOS version; Apple documents this flow in its macOS Help under “Open a Mac app from an unknown developer.”

If macOS reports malware, a damaged app, or offers no approval action at all, stop and contact support with the exact message and where you downloaded the file. Not every security warning is the same problem.

Start your trial or activate a purchase

An eligible fresh trial lasts 30 days, and the first-launch notice shows the deadline when available. Reinstalling does not create a second trial.

If you purchased Annual or Lifetime, use your purchase email and the separate activation code from your Duvrin email in Registration → Validate. See activate or renew.

Connect your browser

Open Settings → Extensions in Duvrin and choose Set Up Browser…. If you already configured one browser, the button may read Set Up Another Browser…. Then continue to browser setup.

When you update or reinstall

Follow the instructions for the specific release. Quit Duvrin before replacing the app, then reopen the new copy from Applications, and check Settings → Extensions for any browser-extension update steps.

Keep your saved files and app support data unless you deliberately intend to remove them. Deleting support data or Keychain entries is not a normal update step, and it can complicate recovery. Reinstalling never resets trial time or adds paid access. If your registration or download list looks wrong after an update, contact support with the old and new app versions instead of reinstalling repeatedly.
